6th  Dr. Nicholas Groves will play The Bread and the Wine at Holy Communion in St. Nicholas Church, North Walsham, Norfolk at 4pm

 

13th Dr. Nicholas Groves played The Bread and the Wine at Princes Street United Reformed Church, Norwich

 

18th  Brigitte Williams and members of Norwich City Concert Band, joined players from York  at a weekend in Losehill Hall Castleton, Derbyshire.  They played the wind band version of Broadland Day.  Judith Wallace from Sheffield  was the conductor.

 

20th  Adrian Kitchen will play The Bread and the Wine at Holy Communion at St. John the Baptist Bressingham, Norfolk at 9.30am

 

27th Easter Day Adrian Kitchen will play The Bread and the Wine at Holy Communion at St John the Baptist Bressingham at 9.30am                 

 Adrian Kitchen will play The Bread and the Wine at St Andrew's Thelveton at 11am

2nd  BBC Get Creative at North Wymondham Community Centre, Lime Tree Avenue, Wymondham,  Music session 12-2pm.  Introduction and Urban Spiritual Blues will be performed.

18th  Swing Low. Sweet Chariot will be sung at Morning Service  11am  Gresham's School Chapel, Holt, Norfolk

13th French Suite played very badly by me on the piano at Gissing Church on his 70th birthday.

 

16th  Consort played at a wedding in St. Nicholas Church, North Walsham by Dr Nicholas Groves

 

17th-23rd  LAUDEMUS! Choral residential course, singing cathedral- style evensong in Dorset churches

 

23rd  Evensong at Wimborne Minster 6pm. My Beloved Spake will be the anthem.

 

August

 

10th  Performance of Forestdene by Lisa Harman on the MV Balmoral

28th  Performance of Slow Tears by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra during their outdoor Concert  at Taverham Hall.

 

September

15th  A concert of instrumental and choral music will take place in St. Mary's Church, Diss, Norfolk at 7.30.  The Marian Consort, Naomi Okuda and Howard Beach, Esther Skipp, Adrian Kitchen and Qingfeng Qian. Free admission and retiring collection.  More details on the blog.

Music included will be Forestdene, French Suite, Amazing Grace, The Bread and the Wine, Consort, Rat Pieces, Dicta Florum, Chanson, Vodka in the Snow, Harvest Home, A Little childe there is i-bore, Sea Dances.

12th Cawston Band Remembrance Concert at St. Mary's church. Burston 7.30, featuring The New Buckenham Suite

 

19th  "Light in the Darkness"  The English Baroque Choir at St. Sepulchre's, Holborn Viaduct, EC1A 2DQ

Music by Tallis, Dering, Elgar, Rutter, Lauridsen, and Whitacre.  Choral Fanfare will be sung.   Conductor Jeremy Jackman. 

 

 

 

December

 

5th  Musical Soiree at Taverham Hall

 

9th A Christmas Celebration.  Concert given by the Holst Singers conducted by Jeremy Cole in St. Paul's Church, Covent Garden at 7.30pm. Including A Little Childe there is i-bore and Andrew's setting of Away in a Manger (W. Kirkpatrick)

 

17th St Helen's Church Hall, Costessey, Norwich at 3pm.  Christmas Concert given by The Warblers featuring The Tivetshall Carol  3pm

 

18th Carols by Candlelight, St. Columba's Church of Scotland at 5pm  including Promised of God

 

 18th  United ReformedChurch, Mere Street, Diss at 7.30pm.  Christmas concert by South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band, who are hoping to play The Transformation of Scrooge.
